Hi there! We’re the DiPrimas (Alex and Jenna) and we are unashamed anglophiles! Over the last several years we have developed a great love for the history and scenery of England. As evangelical Christians, we are especially interested in this country’s church history. Some of this interest also stems from our educational backgrounds. Jenna holds a bachelor’s in English with a concentration in British Literature from Clemson University as well as a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Alex also has a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Seminary and a PhD in Historical Theology with a special focus on the ministry of the British Baptist preacher, C. H. Spurgeon.

We live in Winston Salem, North Carolina with our three children, Dominic, Camden, and Judah. We are founding members of Emmanuel Church of Winston Salem where Alex serves as the Senior Pastor. Jenna is a professional photographer who runs her own business. Much of her photography is featured on this website.

As lovers of church history and all things English, we take great joy in sharing our passions with others. This led us to launch The God & Greater Britain Tour so that we could provide our very own English church history tours to others. One of our goals in offering these tours is to see others come to love the study of God’s work in His church in centuries past. We hope that through studying the lives of saints gone before, we will be stimulated to follow their example and imitate their faith.

Through years of reading and research, and after several trips to the U.K., we have developed a specialized tour that covers a number sites and locations that were integral to the unfolding of English church history. Many of the sites we visit are not included in conventional tours and are the fruit of years of careful study. On our tours we follow in the footsteps of many of the great heroes of the faith such as:

William Tyndale
Thomas Cranmer
Nicolas Ridley and Hugh Latimer
Many of the Puritans including John Owen, John Bunyan, and Richard Sibbes
George Whitfield
John Wesley
John Newton
William Cowper
Charles Simeon
William Wilberforce
Charles Spurgeon
J.C. Ryle
Martyn Lloyd-Jones
C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien
And many others!

On the tour we visit some of England’s oldest and most historic cities including London, Cambridge, and Oxford. The tour also includes excursions into the English countryside, complete with rolling green hills, idyllic tea rooms, and quintessentially English villages. All along the way we’ll stop at various churches and cathedrals to note the ways in which God has worked in his church in days past, and how He is still teaching us lessons today through the lives and ministries of faithful men and women gone before.

The tour is 10 full days (not including travel days). Our next tour will be in the Spring of 2025, exact dates TBD. Click here to see the tour itinerary and here to see our tour packages. We hope you’ll consider joining us as we explore the sites and scenes behind England’s rich spiritual heritage!
